What to do when your tracking code shows that your item has been delivered, but you have not received your package?

If your order was shipped using USPS First Class:

USPS delivery trucks have built-in GPS, which sometimes updates your tracking and marks it prematurely as “Delivered.” You should wait for another business day, and your package should arrive the following day.

If you waited a business day and still did not receive your item, contact your local post office. Make sure you don’t call USPS hotline, you must call your local post office instead. Sometimes, they can tell you everything that tracking page already says, but you can ask them who delivered it and details about that day’s delivery. Those questions usually provide more useful information.

If your item still doesn’t show up (which is very rare), call your local post office and file a claim. MiniSloth cannot reimburse orders that were misdelivered by your local post office or were stolen from your property. Thank you for understanding! Read our terms and conditions for more information.

If your order was shipped using USPS Priority:

USPS delivery trucks have built-in GPS that can prematurely trigger an update to your shipment and mark it as “Delivered.” You should wait another business day because your item was most likely labeled as “Delivered” by accident and it will arrive the following day.

Contact your local post office and ask details about who delivered your package and ask for more information on that day’s delivery. These question will provide you a lot more information about your package.

If you still have not received your item, call your local post office and file a claim. You can contact USPS hotline and file your claim there, or you can go to USPS website and file a claim there. Priority Mail is insured by USPS, and they are liable if your package was stolen from your property or was misdelivered, in most cases. MiniSloth cannot reimburse orders that were stolen from your property or were misdelivered by the post office. Thank you for understanding!  Read our terms and conditions for more information.

If you are an international customer:

Sometimes international packages can be marked as “Delivered” when it arrives at a processing facility or once it’s processed over to the new tracking system of another country.

It’s very common for there to be a delay when the item is marked as delivered and when it’s delivered. It may vary from country to country.

What you should do:

  • Check your mailbox every day for a notice to go pick up your item.
  • Contact your local post office for more information.
  • Contact your local customs office and ask about your package (it’s possible that your item is stuck in customs for checking).

What you should not do:

  • Worry – it’s quite common for an international customer to see a delivered notice, but their package is nowhere to be found. Usually, the package is delivered a few days later, or there will be a note from the customs office.
  • Contact USPS – once your item leaves the United States of America, they are unable to provide information about your package.

If you have more concerns, the best thing you could do is contact your local customs office. They almost always have more information than we do.

You can also always contact MiniSloth; we are always happy to help.
